I make a mean banana loaf/pudding!!

I decide to bake the other day.When I bake I usually am eager to bake my banana loaf/pudding. Reason why I call it a loaf pudding is because it’s not like all banana loaves. I was with my granny when I discovered this recipe, I decide that a loaf was just too dry for my liking so I thought id mix in pudding ingredients and maybe it would be moist and it definitely came out so moist I decided to call it a loaf/pudding(I couldn’t find anything shorter and anyway i just thought to myself that it wa unique)2015-09-27_23.34.42

(I’m really hoping that by next year I would’ve brought together enough money to get myself a proper camera*fingers crossed*)

All things green. . .

So lately I’ve taken on this task of eating more green foods,but IĀ just choose to stick to lettuce.

Two dishes that ive really enjoyed ever since I started this task. A young green salad with roasted sweet chilli chicken and plain lettuce leaves with a drizzle of mayonnaise with fish bakes (not really into such this but I actual enjoyed it). For those who don’t know what a fish bake is,it is a mixture of mashed potato and fish all mixed up and coated with sometimes bread crumbs or flour. I would really love to upload the pictures I took of my two delicious dishes but my phone caught a virus which deleted some of my folder but as a follower of #FoodPornNetwork I,Ā trust you all can use your creative juices to imagine the images …Pretty normal I think.

Well here we are toe to toe with 2014.Ā Ā  Itā€™s been a crazy year in our house and a busy year in blog world too.Ā  Iā€™mĀ sitting here with aĀ cup ofĀ dark hot chocolate munching on these yummy treats thinking about whatā€™s ahead.


Itā€™s been a year full of first experiences for me.Ā  I started exercising and ran my first race.Ā  I was published in the launch issue of a national magazine for the first time.Ā  I hand finished some furniture for our home.Ā  I started a new job that brings me immense joy.Ā  I volunteeredĀ in my community.Ā Ā  I learned thatĀ putting yourself out there can be exhilarating and heartbreaking allĀ at the same time.


I learned to truly appreciate you too, dear readers.Ā  The sheer love of good food connectsĀ us all over the world.Ā Ā  Your comments and questionsĀ help this become a better place.Ā  Help me become a better baker, blogger, writer.Ā  Your patienceā€¦

Cranberry, Orange and Chocolate Biscotti

Biscotti is by far my favourite afternoon pick me up with tea.Ā  I donā€™t bake it much in the summer, but as soon as fall rolls around itā€™s in the oven pretty much weekly.

When I owned the bake shop, I would make an enormous batch every Christmas Eve.Ā  I always tiedĀ a clear bag that was full of biscotti, with some gorgeous Christmas ribbon, and gave it to my customers as they picked up their Christmas baking.Ā  As a way of saying thank you for their patronage each year.Ā  I keep a jar of Biscotti in the cupboard at work too.Ā  Iā€™m all for sharing! Ā  Anyone is welcome to come and grab a piece with their afternoon tea.Ā Ā  Itā€™s kind of like my way of spreading love.
